French Camp, CA – The Richard A. Pittman VA Clinic has officially opened its doors to serve veterans who have served in the military throughout the 209 area, marking a significant milestone in enhancing veteran healthcare in Sacramento and Northern California.

The state-of-the-art facility, located at 6505 South Manthey Road, French Camp, is a 150,000 sqft clinic that aims to make healthcare more accessible for veterans.

With a total cost of $505 million, the clinic represents a substantial investment in providing quality care to veterans close to home. The clinic’s opening was celebrated with a grand opening attended by 1,000 individuals, highlighting the community’s support and appreciation for the new facility.

Richard A. Pittman, the clinic’s namesake, was a Stockton native and a veteran who was awarded the Medal of Honor, the United States Armed Forces highest military decoration, by President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1968.

His heroic actions during the Vietnam War solidified his legacy as a true hero and advocate for veterans. Pittman’s dedication to veterans’ care is now embodied in the new clinic, which stands as a testament to his lifelong fight for veterans’ rights.

The clinic’s location provides a more convenient option for veterans, as it is only an eight-minute drive from central Stockton and about a 55-minute drive from Sacramento.
