Search Continues for Missing 16-Year-Old Mint Butterfield, Last Seen in Bolinas and Larkspur Landing

The search for Mint Butterfield, the 16-year-old child of tech founders Caterina Fake and Stewart Butterfield, is ongoing after they were reported missing on April 21, 2024. Mint was last seen in Bolinas, California, around 10 p.m. on Sunday.

It was reported missing by their mother, Caterina Fake, early the next morning, according to the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.

A family friend reported spotting Mint in Larkspur Landing, a coastal community north of San Francisco, on April 23. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office has been actively working with the San Francisco Police Department to locate Mint, who is believed to have left their home voluntarily.
