LAPD Catches Home Robbers After Wild Chase
COMPTON, CA — A wild police chase ended with arrests after a home break-in in Sherman Oaks led cops to Compton.
Early Tuesday, police spotted a group they think broke into a home in Sherman Oaks. The robbers had scared a woman who was taking a shower, pointing a gun at her. Luckily, the woman got away unhurt. Los Angeles police quickly started chasing the robbers on the 405 Freeway.
As reported from aerial view of the active crime scene in Compton, the suspects’ black car was spotted along 152nd Street, where they were unloading items when LAPD undercover officers surrounded them.
This led to an immediate and intense foot chase as the suspects attempted to flee through the neighborhood.
Despite their efforts, two suspects were quickly apprehended.
A third person got away at first by running through backyards. But after a big search, the police caught him too. Police dogs are now looking for any other robbers who might be hiding.

The initial incident occurred in Sherman Oaks on Greenleaf Street, where the woman encountered the armed intruders while taking a shower. This triggered the extensive LAPD response that led to the suspects being tracked and apprehended in Compton.
Authorities commend the bravery of the woman who managed to escape unscathed from the ordeal and the quick response of the LAPD, which prevented the suspects from committing further crimes.
