Amazing Watercolor Art Show Draws Crowds in Sacramento
Art fans are rushing to see a special watercolor painting show at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center in Carmichael, California. The show features top watercolor artists from around the world.
We visited the show and were amazed by the paintings showcased at the event.
Sandy, who helps run the show, explained that it’s part of a big contest by the American Watercolor Society in New York. This year is the 150th time they’ve held the contest.
The paintings have a special AWS logo, showing they’re part of this important show. To get this honor, artists must be picked for three big shows in ten years.
Visitors can see 40 out of 144 paintings from artists all over the world. Sandy said, “We’ve had people from the Bay Area, Stockton, Chico – wherever they know about this show, they come.”
The show is open until Saturday. You can visit from 11 AM to 3 PM on Thursday and Friday. It costs $10 to get in, which helps pay for bringing the art from New York.
